Lusvardi is a small, family vineyard nestling in the hills of Emilia Romagna in the lower part of Northern Italy. The Lambrusco grapes, Salamino and Grasparossa are king here and the family work using Organic methods with minimal intervention both in the vineyard and the cellar to produce wines that do justice to both variety and terroir. The wine is made using the ‘Tank’ or ‘Charmat’ method undergoing secondary fermentation in tank and bottling under pressure. This is perfect to create a naturally fizzy wine that retains its lightness, elegance and essential fruitiness. In the glass the wine displays vibrant, pulsating, tones of blood orange reminiscent of an autumnal sunset. In the mouth it shows off intense notes of raspberry, cherry and tangy plum, that along with the delicate bubbles charm the palate and gladden the heart.
