blackcurrants, mocha, fresh vanilla
This is a beautiful wine, a seriously good, proper grown-up Malbec! From 50 year old un-grafted vines grown on sandy, stony, at 1,250 metres above sea level in the Valle de Uco. It is very pure, open and totally honest in style. Dark and viscous in appearance, with pronounced sweet black fruits on the nose and touches of violet. Supple, verging on voluptuous on the palate, but by no means overblown, with good, solid grip and a big finish, redolent of blackcurrants, mocha and fresh vanilla pod.
