Winemaker Silas Marcellin trained in Bordeaux and New Zealand before returning to farm with his brother Médéric the vines planted by their mother in 2003. Sustainably grown, with a soft touch. Cabernet Franc is paired with Merlot here and the former leads from the front with green pepper, bramble and raspberry notes. Only very lightly filtered, it’s at times grippy, at times smooth, and old-fashioned in the very best sort of way.
