Convento da Vila Branco 2016, Adega de Borba, Alentejo, Portugal

soft, fresh, tropical fruit
Adega de Borba was founded in 1955 by the coming together of thirteen winegrowers, to celebrate and promote the Alentejo region and its distinctive grapes. Convento da Vila is true to that tradition, with obscure varieties (Síria, Rabo de Ovelha, and Fernão Pires, anyone?). This is a floral, smile-inducing white, soft but still fresh, with notes of citrus and tropical fruit.
